Senior Microsoft Office Add-ins Developer – Generative AI Integration (M/F)

Context

The client wants to integrate generative AI into Microsoft Office on on-premise workstations. An open-source plugin has been identified and needs to be studied, secured, and then deployed, first as an MVP and then at scale. Other plugins are also to be studied, in VSTO or Office.js. The consultant will join a dedicated squad, with a Product Owner, a solution and security architect, and an AI Design Authority.

The consultant must be autonomous and operational quickly, curious and pragmatic, comfortable in an exploratory context. They must be able to work with a publisher and various internal teams, and transform a technical subject into a concrete demonstration for the business.

Conditions

• Take ownership of the plugin: functionality, configuration (.ini files), dependencies, API calls.
• Analyze its integration into on-premise Office (Office LTSC, VSTO / Office.js).
• Understand the integration of on-premise LLMs (Mistral) via API.
• Conduct an initial security analysis with cyber teams: flows, workstation, data access.
• Liaise with the publisher on technical aspects and feasibility.
• Contribute to packaging and deployment (MVP then scaling), including updates and licenses.
• Define the components necessary for scaling: licensing backend, configuration, usage, and authentication.
• Essential: development of Office add-ins (VSTO and/or Office.js), C#/.NET and JavaScript/TypeScript, very good knowledge of Office and Windows workstations.
• Expected: APIs and integration methods, basics in generative AI and LLMs, application security notions.
• A plus: packaging and deployment of workstation applications (GPO, SCCM/Intune).
• Location: Vélizy-Villacoublay (78), on client site.
• Remote work: 2 days/week
• Seniority: senior (5 years and more), with a first successful experience on Office add-ins.
