Senior Middleware Engineer

Project overview

For our client in Stuttgart, we are looking for a Senior Middleware Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Operation and further development of Linux-based middleware and platform services
• Administration of JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and NGINX
• Support of PostgreSQL and MariaDB databases
• Monitoring and supervision of production systems
• Analysis and resolution of technical disruptions
• Execution of deployments, changes, and migrations
• Implementation of security hardening measures
• Creation of technical documentation and operating concepts

• Several years of professional experience in the Linux and middleware environment
• Sound knowledge of JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and NGINX
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MariaDB
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Zabbix
• Experience in troubleshooting production platforms
• Knowledge of deployments, migrations, and IT security
• Very good German language skills
• Willingness for occasional on-site deployments in the Stuttgart area
• Existing security clearance or willingness to undergo one
