Project overview

Job Description

As a senior NetDevOps at the OM, you are responsible for the management and further development of our network infrastructure, including within the highly classified environment of team HG. Your primary focus: ensuring these connections are always up and secure. You are comfortable in a hectic, demanding environment, prioritize at the right moments, and provide early updates on the status of affairs, so colleagues are not faced with surprises. You are analytically strong, service-oriented, and integer.

You are eager to learn and want to continue developing yourself, including in the area of automation for both networks and Linux. Thanks to your communication skills, you can easily interact with all levels within and outside the organization, and you value good documentation and processes.

Your work is very varied and includes:

The 3 best-scoring candidates on wishes and price will be invited for an interview. The work can be started after the AIVD screening is completed. The initial (1st) period lasts 6 months and starts as soon as the AIVD screening is completed.

Background of the assignment

Description of directorate/service/department: The Public Prosecution Service (OM) ensures – together with the police and other chain partners – the investigation and prosecution of criminal offenses. This ranges from shoplifting to murder and from tax evasion to cybercrime and terrorism. The work of the OM aims to ensure that perpetrators receive an appropriate punishment and that victims and their relatives feel that their interests are handled carefully.

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) consists of a head office (the Prosecutor-General's Office), 10 district prosecutor's offices, 1 LRO (national Resort Organization), and a number of 'special' units, namely the National Prosecutor's Office, the Functional Prosecutor's Office, the CVOM Prosecutor's Office (Central Processing OM), the DVOM (Service Provision Organization OM), the IVOM (Information Provision OM), and the National Detectives Agency. The Public Prosecution Service is located at approximately 35 locations throughout the Netherlands. In total, about 6,000 people work for the OM.

The College of Prosecutors-General heads the OM. The College is responsible for the entire OM and focuses on formulating new enforcement guidelines and developing investigation and prosecution policy. The College is also responsible for the organization and business operations. The prosecutor's offices are headed by a head of a business unit who is responsible for the primary tasks of a district or resort or a nationally operating unit. The units of the OM each have their own dynamics, areas of focus, and, in some cases, specialisms.

For a more detailed profile of the OM, please refer to the website of the Public Prosecution Service: www.om.nl

You will work at the Information Provision Public Prosecution Service (IVOM). As OM, we need future-proof and sustainable ICT and Information Provision. This brings challenges, which is why the OM unit IVOM was established in 2021. To take concrete, visible steps with improvements in information provision in the coming years, sharp choices are made in the transition approach. For this, the following 5 multi-year ambitions have been determined: reliable IV services, digital resilience (cyber security), modern and flexible IT landscape, accessible and meaningful information, and a mature IV organization.

We do this with more than 300 professionals, who ensure that our more than 6,000 OM colleagues can work without problems, every day.

Additional Information

When you offer a professional to us as a supplier and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain and Client Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid). The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients by means of a blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities.

The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is established in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Authorities. If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement on the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances.

Please note that the costs for this statement are at your own expense.
