Senior Network Architect / Lead IP/MPLS Engineer

Project overview

Dear Colleagues,

We are looking for a Senior Network Architect / Lead IP/MPLS Engineer (m/f/d) for the conception and further development of complex carrier networks.

The customer's focus is on experience in the carrier/ISP environment. Candidates should have proven experience in service provider, telecommunications, or ISP networks. Pure enterprise network profiles are generally not sufficient.

Must-have Focus Areas

• Several years of experience in the carrier/ISP environment
• Architecture and design of IP/MPLS networks (Core, Aggregation, Edge, BNG)
• Very good knowledge of:
• BGP
• IS-IS / OSPF
• MPLS
• L2VPN / VPLS / EVPN
• L3VPN
• QoS
• Experience with BNG and Broadband Access environments (PPPoE, IPoE, RADIUS, CGNAT)
• Practical experience with Nokia SR OS, Cisco IOS-XR/XE, or Juniper JUNOS
• Creation of HLDs, LLDs, and migration concepts
• Experience with migrations during live production operation
• Network automation with Python, NETCONF/YANG, gNMI

Responsibilities

• Design and further development of the IP/MPLS network architecture
• Planning and technical support of network migrations
• Conception of new B2B and wholesale products
• Further development of architecture standards and design guidelines
• Support in the area of network automation and Source-of-Truth/IPAM solutions
