Project overview

For a demanding building automation project at a large logistics and commercial site, we are looking for an experienced Senior Niagara 4 Developer / System Integrator (m/f/d) to support in the areas of engineering, programming, system integration, and commissioning.

The project includes the comprehensive modernization and expansion of building automation. This includes the retrofit of existing ventilation systems, the integration of new HVAC systems, VAV systems, and room automation, as well as the integration of heating and cooling supply and other technical trades.

Responsibilities

• Planning, structuring, and programming of Niagara 4 stations based on JACE systems and Phoenix Contact IL2250
• Analysis of existing automation systems and integration of existing systems as part of retrofit measures
• Programming and integration of new ventilation systems, VAV systems, and room automation solutions
• Integration of heating and cooling supply as well as other building technology systems
• Implementation of overarching system functions, operating modes, approvals, and setpoint strategies according to the functional description
• Connection of DDC stations, decentralized controllers, meters, and field devices via BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, and corresponding gateways
• Development of standardized templates and uniform data point structures
• Creation of operator graphics, alarm management, trends, time programs, and energy overviews
• Implementation of communication monitoring, fallback strategies, and defined restart concepts
• Execution of data point and interface tests, functional checks, and commissioning
• Structured documentation of engineering, test results, and implemented functions

Requirements

Advantageous are:

Niagara 4 certification

Experience with JACE *

Knowledge in the integration of iSMA controllers

Experience with Phoenix Contact DDC systems

Project Framework:

• Several years of practical experience in development and system integration with Niagara 4
• Profound knowledge of building automation and a solid understanding of HVAC control processes
• Experience with HVAC systems, VAV/FCU systems, room automation, and heating and cooling systems
• Confident handling of BACnet/IP, Modbus TCP, and Modbus RTU, including communication diagnostics and error analysis
• Experience with Niagara Wiresheets, templates, visualization, and structured station engineering
• Practical experience with retrofit projects and the integration of existing automation systems
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Strong communication skills in technical coordination with project management and involved trades
