Senior Operational Manager (NAFIN/LAN)

Project overview

As Senior Operational Manager, you are responsible for the lifecycle management of the WiFi building block within the NAFIN LAN network of Defence.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Tracking the status of the installed base and preparing lifecycle plans in consultation with suppliers
• Facilitating the team of designers and administrators
• Reviewing, obtaining approval for, and defending change requests
• Providing communication about changes, policy changes, and news updates
• Monitoring and, where necessary, further standardizing the technical standard of the building block
• Coordinating the execution of technical adjustments to the building block
• Collaborating with other building blocks to optimize the chain
• Executing or having research carried out into problem areas and analyzing them for structural solutions
• Contributing to audits by Internal Auditing Defence by providing audit trails, log files, and authorization overviews
• Preparing forecasts for necessary investments in the technology
• Supporting procurement processes and coordinating with suppliers and the internal procurement organization
• Preparing reports on performance and consumption of the building blocks
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in a role as Senior Operational Manager (NAFIN/LAN) or an equivalent profile
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience within the chosen eCF profile or a comparable role
• Availability of at least 36 hours per week
• Dutch passport
• Proficiency in the Dutch language
• Mandatory security screening at VGB level B
• Work experience gained at the Ministry of Defence is recommended
• Experience in one or more management positions
• Experience with LAN is preferred
