Senior Oracle APEX Architect

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Oracle APEX Architect for a demanding project in the Cologne area. You will be responsible for the architecture and further development of an Oracle APEX platform in the AWS environment and will advise the client team on strategic technical decisions.

Your core tasks include defining target architectures and standards, conducting architecture and code reviews, and supporting migrations, upgrades, and patches. You will further develop CI/CD processes, provide 3rd-level support for productive applications, and support integrations with CRM and SAP systems.

Required skills:

Experience in the energy industry, B2B CPQ processes (product configuration, pricing, quoting processes), and the operation of business-critical applications is desirable.

The project is initially scheduled until the end of 2027. The location is Cologne with a flexible remote option upon agreement. Occasional on-site appointments for kick-offs, reviews, and workshops are planned. The project language is German.

The work model offers a good balance between remote work and on-site collaboration. You will work in a technically demanding environment with modern cloud technologies and have the opportunity to actively shape the platform strategy.

• Oracle APEX, SQL, and PL/SQL
• ORDS and AWS (especially RDS for Oracle)

• Performance tuning and data modeling
