Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager (m/f/d) in industrial plant construction for a long-term major project in the energy sector. We are seeking an experienced leader who will take on a central role within the project organization, particularly responsible for overall project and schedule management. The focus is on coordinating the schedule, managing complex construction processes, and aligning between site management, project management, and the involved trades. The assignment starts at short notice with a project preparation phase in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Subsequently, an assignment on a major construction site in Northern Germany is planned.

• Taking on a central function within the project organization
• Technical management and coordination of schedulers
• Overall management and monitoring of construction and project processes
• Monitoring of project deadlines and defined milestones
• Coordination of interfaces between site management, project management, and involved trades
• Management and coordination of processes in mechanical plant construction
• Continuous monitoring of project progress
• Early identification of schedule and project risks and initiation of appropriate countermeasures
• Close cooperation with senior site management and other project managers
• Ensuring structured and timely project execution
• Many years of experience in project management of complex industrial or plant construction projects
• Demonstrable experience in a responsible or leadership role within major industrial projects
• Sound knowledge of scheduling and project management
• Experience in managing complex construction processes and site coordination
• Experience in the technical leadership and coordination of project teams or schedulers
• Technical understanding in mechanical plant construction
• Experience in interface management between different disciplines and trades
• Knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, or comparable scheduling tools
• Project experience in energy plant construction
• Experience in chemical or process plant construction
• Experience in power plant construction
• Experience with projects in the field of hydrogen or comparable energy infrastructure
• Strong leadership skills
• Assertiveness in complex project structures
• Very good communication and coordination skills
• Structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Confident demeanor towards various project stakeholders
• Ability to identify risks early and drive decisions forward in a targeted manner
