Project overview
We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead a VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) upgrade programme for a financial services organisation. You will own delivery from planning through to completion, working with infrastructure, security and operations teams to upgrade a critical virtualisation estate with minimal disruption.

Contract Details
- Lead delivery of the VMware VCF upgrade, owning scope, timelines, budget, risks and dependencies
- Manage stakeholders across the customer, the partner and the technical team, with clear and regular communication
- Plan and manage resources across architects, engineers and technical specialists
- Make sure every team member understands their goals and responsibilities
- Blend Agile and Waterfall approaches to suit each phase of delivery
- Build and maintain the project roadmap and report progress to senior stakeholders
- Prior experience delivering a similar VMware project, ideally VCF based
- Experience working with MSPs, IT consultancies or end clients in financial services
- Proven stakeholder and resource management at senior level
- Experience blending Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Experience building project roadmaps and the tools you use to do it
- A relevant certification such as PRINCE2, APM, PMP or VMware is nice to have but not essential
- Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh, with 1 to 2 days per week on site (flexible)
- Duration: 5 months initial
- Rate: £400 to £500 per day depending on experience
- IR35: Outside IR35
