Senior Python Developer – Data Processing & Logfile Analysis - 100% Remote - 12 Months

For our client, we are looking for an experienced freelance Python developer to further develop an existing application for the analysis of technical plant and process data.

Responsibilities

• Further development and optimization of an existing Python application
• Reading, parsing, and preparing log files from production plants
• Implementation of calculation and evaluation logic for individual process steps and shifts
• Analysis and resolution of errors, as well as optimization of data processing
• Extension of a web-based interface with NiceGUI for selecting production runs and displaying analysis results
• Further development of interfaces between backend and user interface
• Independent implementation of new functions in coordination with technical subject matter experts
• Ensuring code quality through tests and comprehensible documentation

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience in Python software development with Python as a clear focus
• Sound experience in processing and evaluating structured and unstructured data
• Experience with file parsing, data imports, or the analysis of log or measurement data
• Experience in implementing calculation logic, ideally with Pandas and NumPy
• Confident handling of existing codebases, debugging, and automated tests
• Experience with backend development, interfaces, and client-server architectures
• Willingness to also independently implement user interface functions
• Independent, structured way of working and quick familiarization with technical contexts
