Senior Requirements Engineer for a Public Sector Project

Project overview

For a long-term IT project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Requirements Engineer. The focus is on gathering, analyzing, and specifying functional and technical requirements for a complex application.

Responsibilities

• Management of functional and technical requirements
• Gathering, analyzing, and specifying requirements with the business departments
• Conducting requirements and process analyses
• Planning and moderating workshops and coordination meetings
• Maintaining the development backlog with Epics and User Stories in Jira
• Accompanying Sprint Planning, Refinements, and Sprint Acceptance
• Coordinating Change Requests with interface, middleware, and infrastructure teams
• Documenting processes, services, interfaces, and configurations

• More than 5 years of experience in larger software development projects
• Sound experience in Requirements Engineering
• Experience in creating functional and technical requirement specifications
• Experience with IT concepts, risk analyses, and interface specifications
• Experience with Domain Driven Design (DDD)
• Confident use of Jira and Confluence
• Methodological competence in agile development environments
• Basic knowledge of Java/Spring Boot, JSON, XML, and SQL
• Basic understanding of software development, software architecture, and databases
• Very good communication, moderation, and documentation skills
• German language skills at least at C1 level
• CPRE certification or equivalent knowledge in Requirements Engineering
• Start: immediately
• Duration: long-term
• Utilization: Full-time
• Location: predominantly remote, with on-site appointments in Nuremberg as needed
• Willingness for security screening SÜ2 required
