Senior SAP MM Consultant (Customizing, Design & Test)

Project overview

For an SAP project in the area of Materials Management, we are looking for an experienced Senior SAP MM Consultant (m/f/d). The project supports the further development of an SAP MM solution through independent expertise in the analysis of internal company intracompany processes, requirements engineering, functional solution design, and end-to-end build and test management.

You will be responsible for the independent and results-oriented implementation of the defined deliverables: from root cause analysis in SAP Customizing, requirements analysis, functional concept, and design specifications to testing, deployment, and handover. You will work at the interface of SAP MM, SAP FI/CO, Supply Chain, and Quality Management.

Responsibilities

• Solution analysis and design
• Process analysis of existing business processes in the MM environment as a basis for solution enhancements
• Analyze intracompany scenarios as well as customizing and development configurations in SAP MM (Materials Management) and identify problems
• Conduct root cause analysis and create an issue log with recommended solutions
• Capture business requirements and document them in a requirements specification (Requirements Engineering)
• Create high-level functional concepts (functional design) and detailed design specifications for each identified solution enhancement
• Incorporate contributions from Supply Chain (SC), SAP FI/CO, and Quality Management (QUA) into the solution design
• Document results of coordination across different value streams
• End-to-end build, test, and deployment
• Control and implement build, test, and deployment activities for the defined MM process scope (Test Management)
• Perform debugging and error analysis, and fix or document errors identified in user tests comprehensibly
• Maintain an error correction log and keep the status of error tracking transparent
• Prepare handover package and hand it over to the contact person designated by the client
• Create a final report on service delivery and final handover documentation
• Acceptance, Schedule, and Collaboration
• Acceptance of all deliverables by the contact person designated by the client, including aspects such as coverage of intracompany scenarios, conformity with business requirements, and completeness of enhancement specifications across SC, FI/CO, and QUA
• Deliverables from solution analysis and design within 16 weeks of project start; final deliverable at the end of the project assignment
• Interim milestones will be agreed upon in writing at the start of the project
• Clarification of deliverables and feedback will be provided by the contact person designated by the client
• Results-oriented contract: You determine the method, type, timing, and sequence of work independently.

• Utilization: 4 days per week, 8 hours per day
• Workload: approx. 800 hours.
• Work location: Leverkusen, approx. 60% remote; on-site assignments are to be coordinated with the Hiring Manager.
