Project overview

For a demanding SAP S/4HANA project with one of our clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior SAP S/4HANA MRP & Inventory Planning Consultant on a freelance basis.

The project focuses on the analysis and optimization of existing material requirements and inventory planning processes, as well as the development of standard-aligned solutions within SAP S/4HANA.

We are looking for an experienced SAP consultant who is convincing both conceptually and hands-on in customizing and can translate complex requirements into practical solutions together with the business departments.

Project Framework

Position: Senior SAP S/4HANA MRP & Inventory Planning Consultant

Responsibilities

Conducting and moderating Fit-to-Standard and Design workshops with the business departments

Analysis of existing material requirements planning, inventory planning, and replenishment processes

Conception and implementation of standard-aligned SAP S/4HANA target processes

Customizing and configuration of relevant SAP MRP and Inventory Planning functionalities

Optimization of Planning Master Data, Material Master Data, and MRP-relevant planning parameters

Support in Demand & Supply Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment processes

Analysis and optimization of Distribution Planning and Stock Transfer processes

Evaluation of existing customer-specific developments and development of solutions for their replacement by SAP standard functions

Support in testing, error analysis, and implementation

Close collaboration with the business departments and other project stakeholders

Requirements

Several years of project experience in SAP S/4HANA Planning & Inventory Management

Very good knowledge of SAP MRP (Material Requirements Planning) as well as Planning and Replenishment processes

In-depth experience with Material Master Data, Planning Master Data, and MRP parameters

Practical experience in Demand & Supply Planning, Forecasting, and Inventory Planning

Knowledge of automated replenishment and procurement processes

Experience with Distribution Planning and Stock Transfers, ideally including delivery creation and consolidation

Experience in reducing or replacing customer-specific Z-tables, Z-transactions, developments, and interfaces with SAP standard processes

Proficient in SAP Customizing and experience in Fit-to-Standard workshops

Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach

Very good German skills (mandatory) and good English skills

Desirable Additional Knowledge:

Demand-Driven Replenishment / Buffer Management

Predictive MRP (pMRP)

SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP)
