Senior SAP Technical Administrator

Project overview

As Senior SAP Technical Administrator, you ensure the management and continuity of business-critical SAP systems within a secure Defense environment.

Profile of the suited interim professional:

• Ensure the management and maintenance of SAP systems in a secure environment
• Install, configure, and keep SAP environments such as S/4HANA, ECC, and HANA databases up-to-date
• Execute and control back-up, restore, and disaster recovery processes
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve disruptions
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve problems with systems and applications
• Perform upgrades and patches, including testing
• Plan maintenance and installation activities with minimal impact on service delivery
• Handle daily operational tasks with a focus on continuity, security, and performance
• Coordinate with internal and external chain partners in handling incidents and structural problems
• Act according to current organizational procedures to safeguard system integrity and security
• Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience in the eCF profile Systems Administrator or a comparable role
• Work experience as SAP Basis Consultant or SAP System Administrator within a complex SAP environment
• Experience with managing, maintaining, and monitoring SAP landscapes
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and SAP HANA databases
• Experience with installations, upgrades, patches, migrations, and lifecycle management within SAP systems
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration within SAP platforms
• Experience with performance tuning, troubleshooting, and performing root cause analyses
• Experience with processes related to back-up, restore, and disaster recovery
• Experience with SAP security, authorizations, user management, and information security
• Experience with ITIL processes such as incident, change, and problem management
• Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies and tooling such as Jira
• Good communication skills and experience within multidisciplinary teams and chain organizations
• Completed higher professional education (HBO), preferably in IT or Informatics
• SAP Basis certification is a plus
• Experience within a large-scale government organization is recommended
