Senior Security Engineer (Microsoft) | 6-month FTC | Hybrid

Job Summary: Our client, Global legal services is seeking a Senior Security Engineer - deep hands-on experience across Azure, M365, Cloud security, SIEM integrations, PKI/BYOK, Defender, Purview, vulnerability management and enterprise infrastructure security. You will deliver and enhance enterprise security controls across a complex Microsoft and cloud environment. The successful candidate will bring strong Azure, Microsoft 365 and enterprise security expertise, coupled with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

• Salary: £80,000
• £90,000 (Pro rat for 6-month FTC)
• Hybrid: 2-day onsite per week in London
• Position: Fixed-Term-Contract for 6 months
• £90,000 (Pro rata for 6-month FTC)
• Hybrid: 2 days a week onsite in London
• Industry: Highly Regulated Firm

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of security technologies supporting major business change programmes
• Design and implement security controls across cloud, infrastructure and hybrid platforms
• Drive improvements to monitoring, vulnerability management and endpoint protection capabilities
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to reduce security risk and strengthen controls
• Provide technical leadership on security incidents, changes and operational improvements
• Produce clear documentation and communicate recommendations to varied stakeholders

• Significant cyber security engineering experience within Microsoft enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and cloud security technologies
• Experience implementing and optimising SIEM, endpoint and infrastructure security solutions
• Good understanding of Windows, Linux and Scripting using PowerShell or Python
• Ability to take ownership of technical delivery while working independently and collaboratively
• Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage technical and non-technical audiences
