Job Description

Profile

• Further development, integration, and testing of the existing BASTA simulation for the Traxx3 platform in project PR2.4.
• Implementation and adaptation of Class-1 and Class-3 models within the BASTA simulation environment.
• Support in the creation, analysis, and optimization of configuration files.
• Collaboration in integration, qualification, and test execution.
• Creation of at least one release per month.
• Implementation of an average of two customer variants per month, including bug fixes and functional enhancements.
• Execution of specification reviews, design activities, test executions, and test reporting.
• Adaptation and execution of smoke tests for each release version as a prerequisite for Laboratory Qualification.
• Analysis and processing of TPRs (Test Problem Reports) as well as error and fault analyses.
• Debugging and evaluation of software and simulation problems during development.
• Collaboration with functional interfaces at the 2F level.
• Taking on the roles of Tester, Test Lead, and internal software quality assurance for deliveries to Alstom.
• Execution of activities in accordance with Alstom PM2020 process, Traxx process, and relevant safety processes.
• Ensuring compliance with T-Gates, Checkpoints, and Quality Gates.
• Several years of experience in the railway environment, ideally at Bombardier Transportation (BT) or Alstom.
• Sound knowledge in the area of TCMS and a basic understanding of System Engineering.
• Demonstrable experience in functional safety according to EN 50128 and EN 50657.
• Very good knowledge in the development and support of BASTA simulations based on LabView.
• Experience with locomotive functions and Class-3 models.
• Ability to analyze existing subsystem simulations and to independently troubleshoot.
• Knowledge of standards UIC 556 Appendix A/B and IEC 61375.
• Experience in Requirements Management with DOORS.
• Good knowledge of Polarion.
• Experience with MITRAC Safe and Non-Safe tools.
• Knowledge of Alstom or Bombardier processes and quality requirements.
• Experience with the following tools:

• RTC (TPR Management)
• SVN
• BASTA
• Bugzilla
• Jenkins
• Productive project entry possible without an onboarding phase.
• No ramp-up or training phase is planned.
