Project overview

The business unit is currently pursuing a strategy of evaluating various approaches to process mining and simulation of load behavior in operational processes in parallel. Both market products and in-house developments are being assessed. This project concerns the feasibility assessment of an in-house development on the "Snowflake" platform with Python and Streamlit as key technology components.

As part of the "Digital Twin" initiative, this topic is to be further developed using various use cases, particularly in the context of yard logistics. In particular, the capabilities for independent solution creation ("make") based on the DISCOVERY platform (technically: Snowflake) are to be evaluated.

In the first step, as part of the assignment, an existing forecast function developed in Excel will be analyzed and translated into a program design that can be deployed in the Snowflake environment (Python / Streamlit).
