Project overview

For a long-term IT project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Architect with a focus on security. The focus is on developing secure software architectures, creating IT security concepts, and providing technical consulting to development teams.

Responsibilities

• Creation and regular review of IT security concepts
• Conception of software architectures and security-related solution concepts
• Coordination of security and data protection requirements with relevant stakeholders
• Examination and evaluation of suitable security solutions
• Consulting development teams on the implementation of security-related requirements
• Support for the secure implementation of services, functions, and interfaces
• Derivation and evaluation of architectural changes from security concepts, data protection regulations, and penetration tests

• More than 8 years of relevant experience in software architecture and development
• Several years of experience in software architecture and software design
• Experience with service-oriented and cloud-native architectures
• Profound knowledge of modern security concepts such as OAuth 2.0, Zero Trust, TLS, and hashing methods
• Knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines such as OWASP, BSI IT-Grundschutz, and ISO 27001
• Understanding of vulnerabilities and general threat risks
• Experience with Java/Spring Boot or .NET as well as Kubernetes and REST
• Knowledge of ArchiMate 3.x, UML, and BPMN 2.0
• Good knowledge of Domain Driven Design
• iSAQB CPSA Foundational/Advanced Level
• German language skills at least at C1 level

• Location: predominantly remote, with on-site appointments in Nuremberg as needed
• Willingness for security screening SÜ2 required
