Senior Software Engineer Java / Spring Boot & Cloud

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer with a focus on Java, Spring Boot, and Cloud technologies for a versatile role in the further development and modernization of business-critical applications.

In this position, you will be responsible for the further development and modernization of existing software architectures, particularly in the area of spatial information systems. You will ensure the stable operation and continuous optimization of applications and contribute to the development and long-term support of Business Intelligence solutions with Microsoft Power BI.

You will work in an agile Scrum team within a SAFe environment and, together with various development teams, shape the technological advancement of the application landscape. You will optimize existing processes and ensure the long-term substance of the systems.

Requirements

We offer a hybrid work model with 2-3 days presence per week. The position is limited to 14+ months and starts in November 2026.

• At least 5 years of experience in software development with Java and Spring Boot
• Several years of practical experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Jenkins
• Experience in development with .NET and Angular
• Sound knowledge of relational databases (SQL, Oracle)
• Very good knowledge of Git, PowerShell, Bash, IntelliJ, and Keycloak
• Practical experience with Microsoft Power BI (Dataflows, semantic models, Dedicated Gateways, report development)
• Experience with agile development methods, especially SAFe
• Structured, independent, and organized way of working
• Fluent German and very good English skills
