Senior Software Engineer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (m/f/d) for an exciting project in Munich. The position is designed with 80% remote work and starts in January 2027 with a duration of at least 12 months.

In this role, you will actively shape the development of modern software solutions. You will be responsible for the design and implementation of services and interfaces according to defined architectural specifications and quality standards. You will analyze business requirements, create technical concepts, and perform effort estimations.

A key focus is ensuring code quality through reviews, pair programming, and adherence to coding guidelines. You will set up automated tests (unit, integration, contract, and performance) and develop test data strategies. The use and further development of CI/CD pipelines are also part of your responsibilities, as is troubleshooting in complex environments.

Furthermore, you will evaluate the benefits of AI services and models and integrate provided AI functions as well as LLM and ML APIs into existing services – taking data protection and compliance into account.

You will work closely with architects, DevOps teams, security, and business departments, create technical documentation, and support your fellow developers through mentoring and technical advice.

We expect several years of experience in software development and architecture, particularly with Spring and OpenShift. Profound knowledge in API design, distributed systems, CI/CD, and test automation is required. You should understand security and compliance requirements and have a basic understanding of AI/ML concepts. Strong analytical, structuring, and communication skills complete your profile.
