Senior Software Tester

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Tester for an exciting project at a location in Germany. The position is designed with 80% remote work and offers a project duration of 36 months, starting in December 2026.

Your responsibilities include the planning, conception, and execution of functional, manual, and automated tests. You will analyze requirements, derive suitable test cases and test scenarios, and perform performance, load, and cross-channel tests. Furthermore, you will create test data, document and evaluate test results, and continuously optimize test processes and test automation. An important aspect is the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines as well as coordination with business departments and development teams.

We expect a completed degree in IT, natural sciences, or engineering, or a comparable qualification. Several years of experience in software testing, test case design, and in large agile projects are required. An ISTQB Foundation Level certification or equivalent is necessary. Knowledge of cloud and microservice architectures, the test pyramid, CI/CD, GitLab, and test automation are essential. Experience with API tests, Robot Framework, Kafka, and Kubernetes is advantageous. Scrum or SAFe knowledge, as well as Jira and Confluence, are required.

You are characterized by an analytical, independent, and solution-oriented way of working and have strong communication and teamwork skills. Very good German language skills are necessary. A project-related employment is assumed.
