Assignment at a renowned bank in the automotive finance sector (Cologne area)

For our client, an established bank in vehicle financing, we are looking for an experienced Senior Specialist (gn) as soon as possible to manage and support a strategically important portfolio sale.

In this key role, you will be responsible for the preparation, structuring, and operational support of a complex sales process for a terminated loan portfolio and will act as a central point of contact between internal stakeholders, consultants, and potential investors.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive preparation and support of the sale of a terminated loan portfolio (A-stock/core portfolio)
• Execution of portfolio readiness, including analysis, quality control, and data preparation
• Planning, structuring, and management of the data room
• Management of the entire tender process
• Market outreach and coordination of potential investors and buyer groups
• Support and moderation of the due diligence phase
• Support of bidders during the non-binding offer and binding offer phase
• Coordination and answering of investor inquiries (Q&A management)
• Support in contract negotiations up to successful closing
• Post-transaction follow-up and support of post-sale activities
• Optional: Evaluation and support of further sales options in the area of B-stock portfolios and forward flow structures

Requirements

• Several years of experience in interim management, advisory, or project management in the banking and financial services sector
• Sound knowledge in the area of NPL transactions, receivables management, portfolio sales, or distressed assets
• Experience in managing complex tender and investor processes
• Confident handling of due diligence processes, data rooms, and transaction documentation
• Knowledge of the lending business, ideally in the automotive, leasing, or commercial finance sector
• Strong project management skills and excellent communication skills
• Independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Challenging transformation and transaction project with high visibility
