Senior System Engineer

Project overview

For one of our clients, we are currently looking for:

A Senior System Engineer in the area of Microsoft Enterprise Server infrastructure on a freelance basis.

Responsibilities

Focus:

Responsibility for the entire Windows Server landscape (experience for enterprise on-prem system landscapes)

• Operation and support of the Windows Server infrastructure and services (3rd Level Supporter)
• Server lifecycle management
• Installation of new systems
• Patch management, updates, and maintenance
• Administration and further development of:
• Microsoft 365
• Exchange Enterprise Cluster
• Backend systems
• Technical contact person for internal colleagues and colleagues in the IT department

Requirements

• Very good experience in Microsoft enterprise environments with at least 200 to 400 (virtual) servers
• Very good Microsoft server know-how
• Very good knowledge of patch management
• Microsoft 365
• Exchange Enterprise / Exchange Cluster operation (on-prem solution)
• Infrastructure and backend understanding (e.g., backup with Veeam)
• Independent way of working
• Experience in complex IT environments
