Project overview

For our client from the energy sector, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Salesforce Platform Manager for the Aarau location.

Responsibilities

• Steering the Salesforce platform's further development from the examination and approval of functional requirements to acceptance, go-live, and handover to operations
• Leading and prioritizing the development backlog together with the Business Process Owners and the Service Owner, ensuring the Definition of Ready and Definition of Done
• Responsibility for resource, quarterly, and release planning, considering Salesforce release cycles and dependencies on external systems
• Examination and approval of solution designs, including Fit-Gap analysis, data model, integrations, security, authorizations, and data protection
• Conducting design reviews and ensuring architecture governance, the "native-first" principle, and applicable quality gates
• Functional steering of external service providers in a multi-provider environment, including monitoring progress, quality, deadlines, and delivery results, as well as managing escalations
• Participation in functional assessments within the scope of mini-tenders
• Coordination of kick-offs, status, milestone, and handover meetings, as well as creating target-group-oriented reporting on status, risks, and measures
• Planning and coordination of releases, deployments, data migrations, rollbacks, cutovers, and go-lives in coordination with DevOps, Business, and external system managers
• Preparation and execution of acceptances, including sign-offs and Go/No-Go decision bases
• Responsibility for hypercare phases, stabilization, and handover to operations, including operational documentation and knowledge transfer
• Steering of problem management with root cause analyses and sustainable resolution of error causes
• Maintenance and further development of Team Charter, RACI, process documentation, roadmap, and architecture repository, as well as incorporating lessons learned into the Platform Team's working methods

Salesforce

• Completed education or further training in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field (HF, FH, or University)
• Several years of experience in steering Salesforce projects, especially in development, release, and deployment management
• Proven experience in the functional steering of external service providers in a multi-provider environment
• Sound knowledge of the Salesforce platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, data model, authorization concepts, release cycles)
• Good knowledge of Salesforce DevOps, Salesforce DX, Git/GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, sandbox strategies, test coverage, and code quality
• Experience in requirements and backlog management, as well as agile methodologies including sprint and release planning
• Experience in solution design and architecture governance for integrated platforms, as well as a good understanding of interfaces, security, and data protection
• Experience in release, deployment, acceptance, cutover, hypercare, and handover to operations processes
• Strong steering and communication skills, as well as a confident demeanor towards business, architecture, operations, and external partners
• Analytical, structured, and results-oriented way of working, as well as the ability to make dependencies, risks, and goal conflicts transparent and prepare decisions
• Salesforce certifications such as Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant / Agentforce Sales Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant / Agentforce Service Consultant or equivalent are an advantage
• Fluent German (min. C1) and good English skills (min. B2)
• Willingness for regular presence at the Aarau site
