Senior Systems & Applications Administrator

Project overview

Our client is looking for a senior Systems & Applications Administrator to ensure the operational maintenance of a set of technical and application environments.

You will be involved in the installation, administration, and maintenance of Linux and Windows environments, as well as several IBM solutions. You will also support development teams with their technical issues and act as a facilitator.

The mission requires strong autonomy and the ability to provide technical backup to the manager in case of unavailability.

• Install and maintain development, testing, and maintenance environments.
• Install software components and packages on Linux servers and Windows workstations.
• Configure and parameterize installed solutions according to defined procedures.
• Install and qualify new software versions.
• Package components according to current technical standards.
• Perform unit technical tests, interoperability tests, and performance tests.
• Administer and manage environments: stop and start components, monitor their usage, and verify the service provided.
• Coordinate backup, restore, and other operations with operations teams.
• Provide technical support to development teams using the environments and software.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents: analyze logs, reproduce problems, find workarounds or fixes, and track fixes.
• Create tickets with publishers when necessary.
• Participate in coordination meetings with development teams.
• Assist teams in using environments and software.
• Create and maintain a FAQ and a knowledge base in a wiki.
• Write technical documents: operating procedures, installation guides, configuration guides, test guides, reports, schedules, roadmaps, and capacity planning.
• Monitor projects and contribute to the operational maintenance of production and development environments.
• Advanced UNIX/Linux system administration, particularly RHEL 7.6 / 8+
• Knowledge of Oracle databases 11g to 19c
• Mastery of IBM Cognos Analytics 11.x administration
• Mastery of IBM DataStage 9.1 / 11.7 administration
• Mastery of IBM TM1 Planning Analytics administration
• Mastery of the Windows 11 work environment
• Ability to understand and assimilate technical documentation in English
• 8 to 15 years of experience
