Senior Tax Consultant – Remote – Contract or Contract to hire – Rate is flexible
A leading insurance organisation is seeking a Senior Tax Consultant to join its Corporate Tax team, supporting complex reinsurance transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures and strategic business initiatives.
The role will work closely with Finance, Legal, Actuarial and business development teams to deliver tax-efficient solutions, provide technical tax guidance and support key business decisions.

- Advise on reinsurance transactions, M&A, divestitures and transaction structuring.
- Develop tax planning strategies to minimise federal, state and premium tax liabilities.
- Conduct technical tax research and assess legislative and regulatory changes.
- Support quarterly tax provisions and annual federal and state tax filings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to manage tax risks and ensure compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong corporate tax experience and technical tax expertise.
- Insurance industry tax experience and knowledge of federal, state and premium tax requirements.
- Experience with complex transactions, tax structuring, planning and risk assessment.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in reinsurance taxation.
- Experience supporting M&A, divestitures or other strategic corporate transactions.
