Senior Test Engineer

Project overview

Dear Sir or Madam,

We are currently looking for a Senior Test Engineer (m/f/d) for one of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive support in quality assurance and execution of tests within the scope of ongoing and planned projects
• Planning, conception, control, and execution of manual and automated tests
• Creation and execution of test scenarios, test cases, and test data, as well as system integration, regression, and user acceptance tests
• Execution, further development, and automation of accessibility tests so that identified findings are easy for development teams to understand and resolve
• Analysis, evaluation, and documentation of test results and defects, as well as execution of defect management and test reporting
• Consulting and support for development teams in the areas of test automation, quality assurance, and accessibility

Requirements

• At least 5 years of practical professional experience in Test Engineering, including at least 3 years in test automation, ideally in agile software development projects
• ISTQB Certified Tester (Advanced Level)
• Sound knowledge of manual and automated test methods (e.g., black/white box testing, exploratory testing, unit, integration, system, regression, UAT, and usability testing)
• Demonstrable knowledge of test planning, test design, test execution, and test management
• Very good knowledge of test automation (e.g., with Playwright, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, or Tosca)
• Good programming skills in Java and experience with test scripts and test automation frameworks
• Experience with API, performance, load, accessibility, reliability, and security testing, as well as in defect management and test reporting
• Good knowledge of common development, test management, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Xray, Confluence, TestRail, Git, as well as CI/CD pipelines and databases/SQL
• Very good German language skills

Project Background:

As part of a long-term IT project, existing and new software solutions are being further developed, operated, and continuously optimized. An experienced Senior Test Engineer is sought to support ongoing and planned initiatives, as well as maintenance and further development measures. A particular focus is on quality assurance and the further development of automated testing procedures. Furthermore, the accessibility of applications is to be systematically tested and, in the long term, increasingly automated.

The goal is to prepare test results and identified findings in such a way that they can be independently understood and resolved by development teams.
