For a client project, we are looking for experienced support in the following position:

Test Manager / Test Automator (m/f/d) – Integration Tests & Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

Please note: Your application can only be considered if all requirements of the position are fully met.

• Familiarization with cross-procedural test management
• Coordination of cross-component tests as well as coordination meetings with other testers
• Coordination and definition of test scenarios and test data coordination
• Definition of measures related to testing that are necessary to meet the milestone plan
• Test monitoring and writing test plans
• Very in-depth familiarization with the subject matter and the codebase
• Close collaboration with DevOps developers for the setup and operation of test environments
• Integration of tests into Zephyr/Jira as well as test automation using E2E tests (Robot Framework)
• Analysis of test results and structured defect management
• Identification of improvement and testing potentials, identification of optimization potentials, and contribution of own ideas for quality assurance

Requirements

Readiness for business trips (approx. 4-6 per year)

• Several years of experience in planning and controlling cross-component integration tests
• Several years of practical experience in software testing and test automation
• Solid understanding of quality processes, code structures, and automated tests
• High degree of independent working style, independent problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with the test management tool Zephyr
• Prior experience with the Robot Framework
• Knowledge of test automation with tools like Selenium, Cucumber, or Playwright
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Enthusiasm for quality assurance and continuous professional development in the testing environment
• German language skills at native speaker level
• ISTQB certification (e.g., Advanced Level: Test Management)

Project Background:

As part of an extensive modernization program, existing IT application systems in the public sector are being modernized and further developed.

The goal of the project is to renew the existing systems based on modern IT technologies, to consider current standards, and to be able to react flexibly to legal, regulatory, or organizational changes. A contemporary and user-friendly interface should enable efficient work.

A significant component of the project is the further development of a central interface solution that functions as a connection between various booking system components and external payment transaction systems. Furthermore, services for validating bank connection data and SEPA mandates are provided.

Until the complete migration of the existing procedures into the modernized system landscape, the business processes of the existing IT infrastructure will continue to be supported.
