Senior UX Designer

Project overview

Background

We are looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer (m/f/d) to shape how people interact with an innovative connected consumer product and its digital platform through digital user interfaces.

You will be part of a team of UX designers, working together to continuously improve features and user experiences so that hardware and software are perceived as a seamless unit.

In this hands-on senior position, you will be responsible for the entire design process – from initial user research, conception, and design to successful market launch. You will work closely with industrial design, development, product management, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Designing user interfaces for products with a physical component, including integrated displays, controls, and accompanying mobile applications.
• Planning and conducting user research and usability tests, both with prototypes and with real hardware in actual application scenarios.
• Translating user insights and technical constraints into user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and implementation-ready design specifications.
• Presenting and substantiating design decisions to stakeholders based on user feedback, data, and robust insights.

Requirements

• Profound experience in UX or product design with successfully launched products, which you can present with concrete examples.
• A portfolio that not only shows final designs but also makes your work process and decision-making understandable – from problem definition through research and iterations to the result.
• Solid design skills in information architecture, user flows, and prototyping at various levels of detail and maturity.
• Practical experience in planning and conducting user research and usability tests, as well as deriving well-founded design decisions from the insights gained.
• Proficient in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with interdisciplinary teams from development and product management within an iterative product development and delivery process.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey trade-offs and design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, are required.
