SEO Specialist Our client is seeking an SEO Specialist to join its in-house Organic Search team. This role will support enterprise-level SEO initiatives that improve visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search experiences. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented SEO professional who enjoys executing established processes, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This is a fully remote, 40 hour/week W-2 freelance role. Equipment will be provided. Key Responsibilities
- Execute SEO strategies across content, technical SEO, and keyword optimization initiatives.
- Conduct keyword research, content analysis, and competitive assessments to identify growth opportunities.
- Perform technical SEO audits and partner with development teams to improve site health, crawlability, and indexation.
- Monitor organic search performance, develop reports, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Stay current on search engine algorithm changes, AI search trends, and emerging SEO best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve visibility within both traditional search engines and generative AI platforms.
- Collaborate with Brand, Analytics, Product, Paid Search, Development, Accessibility, and other cross-functional teams.
- Support implementation of structured data, content architecture enhancements, and other SEO best practices.
- Help establish and track KPIs aligned with business and website objectives. Qualifications
- 2+ years of SEO experience, preferably in an in-house, agency, or enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimization, keyword research, and SEO analytics.
- Experience using tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, Ahrefs, BrightEdge, or similar platforms.
- Ability to identify trends, diagnose performance issues, and communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, development, and business teams.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and project prioritization skills. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to Generative AI search optimization (GEO), AI-driven search experiences, or emerging search technologies.
- Familiarity with medical, legal, or regulatory review processes. In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data.
