Project overview
We are currently recruiting for experienced Sewing Machinists to join a busy production environment. The successful candidates will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality textile products, ensuring accuracy, consistency and excellent finishing standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with sewing experience who enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce a range of textile products.
- Sew fabrics accurately according to specifications and production requirements.
- Follow patterns, measurements and work instructions to ensure consistent results.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify and report any faults, defects or inconsistencies in materials or stitching.
- Handle different types of fabrics and materials with care.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working area.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Follow all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sewing Machinist is preferred.
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines is an advantage.
- Good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions, patterns and measurements accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
