Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Siemens NC and PLC programmer (m/f/d) to support the programming, configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial machines and control systems.

The focus of the position is 80% on Siemens NC programming, particularly the setup, configuration, calibration, and fault diagnosis of drives and NC controls.

The remaining 20% is for Siemens PLC programming with TIA Portal, including program creation, modification of existing programs, and systematic troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of practical experience in Siemens NC programming and at least two years of experience in Siemens PLC programming with TIA Portal.

Creation, modification, and optimization of Siemens NC programs for CNC machines and industrial plants.

Setup and configuration of Siemens NC controls and associated drive systems.

Execution of drive setup, parameterization, and commissioning.

Performance of calibrations and functional tests.

Analysis and resolution of faults in NC controls, drives, and machine functions.

Systematic fault diagnosis and implementation of appropriate corrective measures.

Support during commissioning, testing, and optimization of machines and plants.

Ensuring reliable and efficient machine operation.

Creation, modification, and maintenance of Siemens PLC programs with TIA Portal.

Analysis and optimization of existing PLC programs and control logics.

Fault diagnosis and resolution of issues in PLC controls.

Analysis and adaptation of program structures and control sequences.

Support in integration and communication between PLC, NC control, drives, and machine components.

Support during testing, commissioning, and technical documentation.

Requirements

Technical Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in Siemens NC programming.

Minimum 2 years of experience in Siemens PLC programming with TIA Portal.

Practical experience with the setup, configuration, calibration, and troubleshooting of Siemens NC drives.

Experience in creating, modifying, and analyzing PLC programs.

Good knowledge of industrial automation and machine control.

Structured and systematic approach to fault analysis and troubleshooting.

Independent and solution-oriented way of working.

Desirable Knowledge

Experience with Siemens SINUMERIK, e.g., 840D or 828D.

Knowledge of Siemens SINAMICS drive systems.

Experience with the integration and communication between NC and PLC controls.

Experience in commissioning and optimizing CNC machines or industrial plants.

Training or degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a comparable field.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a practice-oriented NC/PLC programmer (m/f/d) whose professional focus is clearly on Siemens NC programming. The candidate should have sound practical experience in the configuration and troubleshooting of NC controls and drive systems, and additionally be able to create, modify, and analyze PLC programs with Siemens TIA Portal.

Mandatory Criteria:

Minimum 2 years of Siemens NC programming.

Minimum 2 years of Siemens PLC programming with TIA Portal.

Focus on NC controls, drive technology, and fault diagnosis.

Willingness to take on PLC tasks of approximately 20%.
