Job description
Seeking an experienced functional expert for Siemens Opcenter MDD to support a Life Sciences manufacturing project in the USA. The role involves process analysis, defining future processes, and aligning the MDD solution with Siemens.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced functional expert for Siemens Opcenter MDD for our client to support an upcoming project in Life Sciences manufacturing in the USA.
Requirements Profile
Framework Conditions of the Assignment
Role:
Support our team in process analysis, definition of future processes, and alignment of the MDD solution with Siemens.
The expert will complement our manufacturing/MES team with specific, in-depth knowledge of Opcenter MDD.
- At least three full implementation cycles of Siemens Opcenter MDD – from solution and process design to actual implementation.
- Profound functional understanding of the standard functions, configuration options, and customization options of Opcenter MDD; ability to assess which manufacturing requirements can be covered by standard or configuration and where specific custom developments are necessary.
- Practical experience in translating manufacturing processes and operational requirements into a future-oriented process and solution design based on MDD.
- Experience in collaborating with Siemens or implementation teams, and the ability to critically question proposed configuration or customization decisions if necessary.
- Relevant experience in Life Sciences / regulated manufacturing is highly desirable; experience with batch-oriented environments (batch manufacturing) or electronic batch records (eBR) is particularly relevant.
- English language skills are required; experience with the US market is an advantage.
- Planned scope of work: approx. 50% utilization over a period of four weeks (calendar weeks 48–51), with full-time on-site assignment in the USA planned for CW 49.
Project details
To be confirmed, likely in the Boston area.
As this is a Life Sciences manufacturing site in the USA, willingness to work according to US time zones and to be physically present on-site (one week full-time) is an advantage.
To be confirmed, depending on the final project schedule; currently planned for late November to early December (see also information on calendar weeks above).
The focus is on implementation in a manufacturing line: The client wants to align detailed operational requirements with the functions of Opcenter MDD, define future processes – incorporating MDD and the surrounding shop floor systems – and thereby minimize unnecessary customer-specific customizations.
It would be helpful if the CV or cover letter explicitly lists the Opcenter MDD projects already completed, the respective role of the candidate, the project phases covered, and relevant experience in Life Sciences.
- Start: ASAP
- Duration: 1 month
- Remote: hybrid
- Location: Boston, USA, US
- Languages: German
