Job description

The role involves coordinating safety and health risks on a construction site, ensuring compliance with regulations, and managing documentation. This includes developing and updating safety plans, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with various contractors.

Project overview

The objective of the service is to avoid safety and health risks by early identification and coordination of safety-relevant interactions between trades, as well as with operational activities and influences in the construction site environment. Furthermore, compliance with the general principles according to § 4 ArbSchG, the site regulations, and the SiGe plan is to be ensured and effectively monitored through regular inspections, meetings, and record-keeping.

The required documents (including SiGe plan, advance notice, and documentation for later work, etc.) are kept up-to-date and made traceable via a digital SiGe folder on the project SharePoint.

In the execution planning, measures according to § 4 ArbSchG are coordinated, interactions are analyzed, preventive protective measures are identified, and advisory support is provided for site setup and scheduling. A Safety and Health Protection Plan (SiGe Plan) is developed, integrated into the planning process, and presented in planning meetings; advice is also provided on safety technical installations and the compilation of documentation for later work.

The client's sample site regulations are adapted to the project, the advance notice is created, transmitted to the responsible authority, and updated if changes occur; a project start meeting (KickOff) with the contractors takes place before the site opening.

During construction, all contractors (including subcontractors and contractors without employees) are informed about the measures, their interaction is organized, documents such as risk assessments/operating instructions are reviewed, and the proper application of work procedures is monitored through evidence; in addition, first aid and rescue services (e.g., rescue point plan) are promoted, and the SiGe information board is set up and maintained. The SiGe plan and advance notice are made known, adapted, posted, and updated; safety inspections are carried out (approx.

1x per week, depending on construction progress; if risks are elevated, potentially increased presence in coordination with project management) including documentation, evaluation, determination of measures, and effectiveness control, as well as regular participation in construction/safety/project meetings (approx. every 2 weeks).

In case of deviations in execution, the documents (SiGe plan, site regulations, documentation for later work, advance notice) are adapted, and a digital SiGe folder on the project SharePoint is updated; participation in formal work permits (e.g., hot work permits) also takes place. Reporting is done weekly in the form of minutes (promptly after the inspection); invoicing is done monthly including proof of performance.
