Technical Project Manager Automotive

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) for the automotive industry at our location in Southeast Bavaria. In this responsible position, you will oversee technical product and project management tasks from the concept phase to series readiness.

Your responsibilities include the planning, control, and successful implementation of national and international customer projects. You will act as the technical point of contact for customers throughout the entire project lifecycle and coordinate the involved departments. Close collaboration with manufacturing, sales, and quality management is part of your responsibilities, as is conducting market and competitor analyses and supporting the further development of existing products and technical solutions in the automotive sector.

You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field – alternatively, further training as a state-certified technician with relevant professional experience. Professional experience in technical project and/or product management is required. Ideally, you have experience in the development or project planning of mechanical assemblies, automation technology, or in the electrical engineering field.

We expect strong technical understanding, a structured and solution-oriented approach, and very good English skills for international collaboration. Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with customers and various departments are essential. Willingness for occasional business trips is required. The work is predominantly on-site; mobile working is partially possible depending on operational requirements.
