Job description
Seeking a Software Architect/Engineer for a Scheduling Optimization Platform, focusing on architecture, hands-on development, and ensuring non-functional requirements. Requires 7+ years of experience in scalable, distributed, and AI-driven applications.
Project overview
We are looking for a Software Architect / Software Engineer – Scheduling Optimization Platform:
Responsibilities
- Software Architecture: Coordination, planning, and conception of software architecture decisions for new and existing applications, including architectural concepts, decision documentation, and technical guardrails.
- Architecture & Development: Development of scalable, secure, and maintainable software architectures for application components, APIs, data pipelines, interfaces, scalable backend systems, and future AI services.
- Hands-on Development & PoCs: Active participation in the development of architecture PoCs, core modules, refactoring initiatives, and reusable development blueprints, as well as the transfer of analytical proof-of-concepts into production-ready applications.
- Quality & Non-Functional Requirements: Ensuring scalability, availability, performance, security, and maintainability through robust architecture, high-quality coding practices, and code reviews.
- Technology Selection: Evaluation and selection of suitable technologies, frameworks, and development standards for scalable, maintainable, and secure software development.
Requirements
Framework Conditions:
- 7+ years of experience in software development and software architecture for scalable, distributed applications, as well as data/AI-driven, Python-based software products.
- Demonstrable expertise in modular software architectures, backend services, APIs, integration interfaces, and data processing components.
- Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into practical software architecture and implementation concepts.
- Strong hands-on development background as well as experience in technical design decisions, code-level considerations, and engineering trade-offs.
- Experience in developing platform-based applications, ideally in the field of mathematical optimization or scheduling.
- Experience with code reviews, code quality, refactoring, and maintainable software design.
- Experience with cloud-native software development, preferably Microsoft Azure, as well as Lakehouse technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or comparable solutions.
