Software Developer Embedded Systems

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced software developer for the development of system software in the field of embedded systems. You will contribute to the conception and realization of complex technical applications, taking responsibility from requirements analysis to commissioning.

Your tasks include analyzing system requirements and translating them into concrete software requirements. You will integrate various subsystems, create and maintain development documentation according to the V-model, and conduct comprehensive tests at component, subsystem, and overall system levels. Verification and system tests are part of your responsibilities, as is the commissioning of the developed systems.

For this position, you should have a completed technical degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable field. You have sound knowledge of the programming languages C, C++, and Python, as well as practical experience in requirements management. Knowledge of change and release management is required. Experience with CAN bus, RS232/RS422, and IP socket interfaces is advantageous.

You communicate fluently in German (at least C1 level) and have good English skills. The work location is in Kassel, Hesse, with the possibility of a hybrid working model. We offer a challenging environment where you can contribute and further develop your technical skills.
