Function

You will join our agile Mainframe team. As a Software Engineer Mainframe, you will be responsible for the technical analysis, development, component testing, bug fixing, and support of our Mainframe/CICS application. This application is used for managing insurance policies, claims, and financial processes.

• You will work closely with the agile team to achieve the best possible solution within each specific context
• You will interpret the requirements you receive and translate them into quality software development, respecting the predefined guidelines regarding quality, best practices, budget, and scope
• You will develop software in COBOL V5 on an IBM Z/OS mainframe
• You will understand the technical architecture and be able to reuse existing technical components
• You will document the software you develop
• You will occasionally provide second and third-line support

• You will perform the necessary analytical work, technical implementations, and quality controls
• 5+ years of experience with COBOL programming
