Software Test Automation Engineer

For my client, I am currently looking for a Software Test Automation Engineer for the Erlangen location. We are not looking for a classic manual tester, but for a software-near developer with experience in C/C++, Python, and test automation.

Job Profile:

• Development, planning, and execution of automated software tests for safety-critical software solutions
• Creation and further development of test specifications and test frameworks
• Development and maintenance of test scripts with a focus on Python
• Analysis, documentation, and evaluation of software errors, as well as creation of error reports
• Conducting code reviews and close collaboration with software developers to ensure software quality
• Review of development and test documentation in a regulated environment

• Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience as a software developer or software tester with a focus on C/C++
• Good knowledge of Python, especially for scripting and test automation
• Experience in software testing, test automation, and software quality assurance
• Ability to read, understand, and evaluate source code regarding quality and test coverage
• Knowledge of Git and Linux is an advantage
• Experience with test frameworks or ISTQB certification is an advantage
• English skills at least at B1 level
