Experienced software developer needed for a short-term project in the healthcare sector to analyze and fix error patterns in PDF processing with Apache PDFBox.
Project overview
For a project in the healthcare sector, we are looking for an experienced software developer for short-term support in analyzing and fixing error patterns in PDF processing with Apache PDFBox.
In productive operation, specific error patterns occur during automated PDF generation, signing, and storage that need to be fixed:
Your tasks include the technical analysis of the existing PDFBox implementation, identification of error causes, conception and implementation of bug fixes, and execution of unit and integration tests to secure the fixes.
We expect sound, multi-year practical experience with Apache PDFBox (PDF rendering, merging, form fields, signing, conversion) as well as experience in troubleshooting and optimizing PDF processing pipelines in an enterprise environment. Know-how in handling long-term archiving formats such as PDF/A is an advantage.
The project is 100% remote, with a scope of approx. 25 person-days, flexibly divisible. Start is ASAP. German or English are the project languages.
- Shipping interruptions during the assembly, signing, and transmission of complete PDFs
- Display errors with incorrect blank pages in generated documents
- Visualization problems after processing and re-uploading documents
- Reliability issues during reformatting for long-term archiving
