Job description

Seeking a Solution Architect Applications to define technical solutions and application integrations for the judiciary, focusing on cloud transition and zero trust architecture.

Project overview

Assignment Description

We are looking for a solution architect applications for the assignment. You will be at the forefront, working on the technical solutions and integration of justice applications. How do we tackle specific issues, for example with container platforms, microservices, or object-based storage? How do we handle system connections with the judiciary? And what requirements do we set, by design, for quality and security? With the transition to the cloud and a zero trust architecture, the bar is set high.

You will advise DevOps teams on the architecture of digital services for the courts, such as registers and the corporate website rechtspraak.nl. You will outline the design in broad strokes through a solution architecture design and answer questions regarding the detailed implementation. This allows them to work agilely on a just-in-time architecture. You will translate architecture statements into concrete elaborations for the DevOps teams.

Background of the Assignment

The Council of Justice is the overarching organization encompassing all bodies involved in dispensing justice in the Netherlands. These bodies consist of 11 courts, 4 appellate courts, 2 colleges, and the Council of Justice itself. IVO Rechtspraak is involved in the execution of a digitization strategy, with the aim of digitizing the Justice system more quickly and efficiently in all its tasks and processes. IVO Rechtspraak provides IT and information services for all bodies under the Council.

The architecture staff unit is responsible for developing and safeguarding the architecture and plays an important role in the digitization of the Justice system.

Excellent command of both Dutch and English as working languages.

You have a proactive attitude.

Additional Information

When you, as a supplier, offer a professional to us and they are placed, we will need information from you as a contracting party, including regarding the Chain Liability Act (Wet keten- en inlenersaansprakelijkheid).

The 'WKA' aims to prevent abuse in the remittance of payroll taxes at all links in the chain; from supplier to client. We cover these risks for our clients through a blocked account, the G-account. This is an account to which a portion of the invoice amount is deposited and from which you can pay payroll taxes and VAT to the Tax Authorities. The percentage to be deposited depends on whether you have a SNA certification (NEN-4400-1 or NEN-4400-2) and whether your company is established in the Netherlands or abroad. You can apply for the G-account from the Tax Authorities.

If you cannot obtain a G-account (and you can provide proof of this from the Tax Authorities), you also have the option to provide an accountant's statement (assurance report regarding personnel lending) every quarter. In this, a certified accountant (AA or RA) will issue a statement on the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the remittances. Please note that the costs for this statement are at your own expense.
