We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect Observability to develop and technically implement a central observability platform in a hybrid IT landscape for a client in Zurich.
Project overview
For a client in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect Observability (m/f/d) for the further development and technical implementation of a central observability platform (ZOP) in a hybrid IT landscape.
Activities:
- Conception and further development of the solution architecture for a central observability platform based on on-premises and Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Design, configuration, and scaling of OpenTelemetry collector and gateway architectures and their data pipelines.
- Integration and further development of modern observability stacks in productive IT environments.
- Ensuring integration into existing ITSM processes, particularly incident/event management and CMDB.
- Consideration of regulatory and security-related requirements, especially FINMA, BYOK, Data Residency, and RBAC/IAM.
- Definition of technical standards and automation solutions, as well as support for migrating existing legacy systems to the target platform.
Requirements

- 5+ years of experience as a Solution Architect for observability platforms in a regulated banking or insurance environment.
- OpenTelemetry: Sound practical experience with collector and gateway architectures, including configuration, operation, scaling, and pipelines.
- Observability Stack: Demonstrable experience with at least one modern observability stack in productive use.
- Hybrid Architecture: Experience with on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments, considering network, security, and IAM.
- ITSM and Compliance: Practical experience with incident/event management and CMDB, as well as knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements in the financial sector, especially FINMA, BYOK, Data Residency, and RBAC/IAM.
