Job description
Design and implement a scalable target architecture for Prefect Open Source on Kubernetes, focusing on enterprise functionalities and operational concepts.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of the existing Prefect Open Source environment and identification of missing enterprise functionalities
- Development of a scalable target architecture for productive use on Kubernetes
- Definition and structuring of technical work packages for the implementation of identified gaps
- Conception and integration of user management, identity, and secret management solutions
- Definition of audit logging, monitoring, and compliance concepts
- Creation of CI/CD, rollout, and automation concepts for deployment and operation
- Technical management of the implementation through architecture guidance, mentoring, and code reviews
- Ensuring compliance with defined architecture and quality standards
- Development of test and validation concepts for critical platform functionalities
Requirements
- Several years of experience in the design and operation of workflow orchestration platforms
- In-depth practical knowledge of Prefect Open Source, especially setup, operation, and scaling of productive environments
- Experience in implementing enterprise functionalities in open-source platforms
- Very good knowledge of Kubernetes, containerization, and cloud-native architectures
- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment processes
- Know-how in the areas of Identity & Access Management (IAM), Secret Management, and Audit Logging
- Experience in architecture design, technical governance, and creation of technical concepts
- Ability to define and manage technical work packages and conduct code reviews
- Experience in building highly available and horizontally scalable platforms
- Very good English skills, written and spoken, German an advantage
