Harris Global are currently on the lookout for a Solutions Architect to join our client on an initial 6 month daily rate contract. Candidates must have strong integration, AIS, API and SAP expertise. Candidates that have worked on customer portals are also highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for a new B2B customer and staff self-service portal, from discovery through to production
• Turn business requirements such as account information, invoicing, order tracking and internal ordering into a practical architecture that can be delivered in phases
• Define integration requirements, interfaces and data flows between the portal and core back-office systems including SAP, using API-led and event-driven patterns
• Provide architectural oversight of the integration between SAP and a SaaS customer service platform, working closely with the internal integration team and the vendor's implementation partner
• Lead decisions on cloud hosting, identity and access for internal and external users, security, data and operational support, setting out options and trade-offs clearly
• Shape the approach for taking an existing prototype into a secure, supportable production service
• Work with regional and global technology teams to reuse existing platforms and patterns before introducing new technology
• Maintain architecture decision records and take designs through formal design governance
• Create reusable patterns and standards to speed up future projects
• Strong track record as a Solution Architect delivering customer-facing web applications or portals end to end
• Deep knowledge of API-led and event-driven integration using enterprise integration platforms (eg Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft or SAP Integration Suite)
• Experience of integration within SAP-centred landscapes and other systems of record
• Good understanding of cloud hosting on Azure and/or AWS, modern web architecture and databases
• Knowledge of identity and access management for customers and employees, with security and privacy built in from the start
• Experience moving solutions from proof of concept to production, including non-functional requirements, monitoring and support models
• Confident bringing business, engineering, security and vendor teams to a decision, backed by clear documentation
• A pragmatic approach that avoids over-engineering
• Nice to have: experience integrating a SaaS customer service or CRM platform with SAP, or using AI-assisted development tools
