Context

A consulting firm is assisting major European players in the space sector with their thinking on the role and use cases of artificial intelligence. As part of a bid response, they wish to strengthen their team with a sector expert capable of providing a ground-level perspective on space industry professions.

Main Missions

Profile Sought

• Start: immediate
• Duration: approximately 5 weeks
• Location: Paris, remote work possible
• Provide business expertise in space to the consulting team on R&D, program management, and operations aspects
• Describe the processes, constraints, and friction points specific to major space programs
• Contribute to the identification and prioritization of relevant AI use cases for sector players
• Challenge the feasibility and value of use cases against operational realities
• Participate in the construction of the proposal and deliverables
• Intervene as needed in discussions with client contacts
• Engineering degree or equivalent
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the space or aerospace sector
• Background with a major European space player: prime contractor, integrator, equipment manufacturer, or operator
• Significant experience in R&D, program management, and/or operations on large-scale programs
• Good knowledge of the European space ecosystem and its operating methods
• Affinity for AI topics: the ability to connect business challenges with possible uses is more important than technical expertise in AI
• We are primarily looking for a profile capable of simplifying complex topics, working within a consulting team, and being immediately operational
