Role: Specialist Accounting and Financial Statements

Responsibilities

• Independent preparation and creation of the annual financial statements according to HGB, including the profit and loss statement
• Participation in the preparation of the notes, the management report, and other documents subject to publication
• Management of general ledger, sub-ledger, and fixed asset accounts, and ensuring proper bookkeeping
• Management and processing of tax-related issues and other levies
• Coordination of regulatory and statistical reporting
• Collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, authorities, and other external contacts
• Checking, coding, and processing incoming invoices
• Further development and optimization of existing processes in finance and accounting

Requirements

• Completed commercial or banking apprenticeship with relevant further training, for example as a certified accountant or banking specialist, or a degree with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Accounting
• Sound practical experience in accounting or financial accounting in a credit institution
• Demonstrable experience with a cooperative bank or savings bank
• Very good knowledge in the preparation of annual financial statements according to HGB
• Confident handling of commercial and tax law issues
• Knowledge of banking regulatory reporting is an advantage
• Structured, meticulous, and independent way of working
• High sense of responsibility and strong reliability
