Master Data Management Specialist / Lab IT (m/f/d)

Support is sought for a project in the area of Quality Control (QC) for the maintenance, harmonization, and quality assurance of master data in a digital planning system for laboratory processes.

The system will be gradually introduced in further laboratory areas. Master data must be captured, checked, updated, and transferred to the system in a structured manner. The goal is to ensure high data quality, create uniform data structures, and guarantee the efficient use of the system in everyday laboratory work.

Responsibilities

Continuous maintenance and updating of master data via a ticket system, particularly for employees, material numbers, tests, test scopes, and test times

Creation, modification, and deactivation of data records according to functional requirements

Checking, quality assurance, and harmonization of master data during system introduction

Processing of change requests and new creations based on user inquiries

Ensuring laboratory-suitable data structures for efficient system use and cross-site evaluations

Maintenance of user accounts and qualifications, including entries and exits as well as other changes

Support with the implementation of processes and system configurations in coordination with the responsible contact persons

Establishment and support of the ticket process for the creation and modification of tests, materials, and test scopes

Recording, coordination, and follow-up of system errors and misconfigurations

Support for laboratory users with functional and system-related questions

Coordination of technical issues with internal IT departments and external service providers

Follow-up and implementation of deviations as well as subsequent adjustments

Conducting user training in coordination with the responsible contact persons

Requirements

Technical Qualifications

Experience with digital planning systems or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in a laboratory or QC environment

In-depth knowledge of master data management and understanding of complex data structures

Experience in the configuration and support of laboratory IT systems

Proficient use of Excel-based data entry and import templates

Understanding of GxP requirements and quality processes in the laboratory environment

Methodological Competencies

Experience in ticket management and structured processing of change requests

Strong process understanding and experience in process optimization

Structured, careful, and precise way of working

Basic knowledge of project management; experience with system rollouts is an advantage

High service orientation and strong problem-solving skills

Independent, proactive, and reliable way of working

Flexibility and availability for short-term support requests

Experience in collaborating with functional contact persons and in coordinating between laboratory, IT, and external service providers

Language Skills

German: fluent and confident in daily communication

English: good knowledge

Framework Conditions

Limited project assignment for the rollout phase from October to December 2026

Option for extension

Assignment in the field of digital quality control and laboratory IT

Focus on master data quality, system support, process harmonization, and user support
