Experienced PLC programmer needed for developing and optimizing control systems for machinery and automation solutions, requiring on-site presence in Thuringia.
Project overview
We are looking for an experienced PLC programmer for the development and optimization of control systems for machines and automation solutions. The location is in Thuringia with on-site presence.
Your tasks include the development and specification of PLC, NC, and HMI software, as well as the programming and expansion of control functions based on modern platforms such as Beckhoff TwinCAT and Codesys. You will perform software tests, document them, and validate new software modules. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the commissioning of machines and components and optimize machine functions through targeted parameterization.
An important part of your activity is close collaboration with internal teams and customer service in error analysis, troubleshooting, and the implementation of retrofits.
Requirements
You have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics, automation technology, or a comparable qualification. Practical experience in PLC programming as well as in CNC, control, and automation technology is required. Good knowledge of high-level language programming (Python and/or C++) completes your profile.
Understanding of machine dynamics, drive technology, and control engineering are advantageous. Very good German and English skills are necessary for international collaboration and documentation.
