SQL Architect/Developer

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced SQL Architect and Developer for an exciting project in the area of Business Intelligence and data management. The position is advertised as freelance and offers flexible remote possibilities.

Your tasks include the development and optimization of complex SQL queries for large amounts of data, as well as the conception and further development of SQL-based BI solutions. You will optimize existing data models and data structures to create stable and scalable systems. Furthermore, you will support the further development of the SQL Server environment, design interfaces and data flows, and assist the Enterprise Data Platform with the integration of new data sources.

Deep SQL knowledge at an expert level and solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server, ideally version 2019, are required. You should have a comprehensive understanding of architecture in the SQL and relational database environment and be comfortable working with complex data models and large datasets. Very good knowledge of performance optimization, indexes, and execution plans is essential. Practical experience in the BI and reporting environment, as well as with data extraction and interfaces, is assumed. Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure is advantageous.

You should be able to understand existing technical concepts and develop them independently. Ideally, you have experience in providing data for third-party systems.
