Project overview

Context of the mission

Our client, a player in media and communication, is looking for a senior SRE for a mixed run and project position on a Microsoft Azure environment. This is neither a pure Kubernetes build position nor solely a system administration position: the consultant must be comfortable with both.

The role is operational: no certifications are targeted in the short term, and this is neither a CISO nor an auditor position.

L2 Support

Out of scope: .NET application development, L1 and workstation support, management of ISO 27001 compliance (audit, ISMS).

• Operation of the Windows VM pool (run): approximately 15%
• L2 Support (run): approximately 20%
• Internal network (run and projects): approximately 5%
• Migration to Kubernetes (project): approximately 30%
• Implementation of security based on ISO 27001 model (project): approximately 30%
• Administer Windows Server: patching, backups, monitoring, sizing
• Automate recurring tasks (PowerShell, Terraform, Windmill)
• Containerize existing .NET applications
• Deploy and operate AKS clusters
• Ensure current administration of Cisco Meraki equipment and Fortinet firewalls
• Implement cyber best practices: access management, hardening, logging, vulnerability management
• Document processes
• Handle infrastructure incidents escalated by L1
• Write post-mortems and capitalize in Confluence
